In this capacity, he guided prominent multinational enterprises, successfully assisting the Managing Director, Mr Jose Merello Lardies of Bridas Energy of Argentina in establishing their inaugural London presence, and similarly facilitating the London market entry for LUKOIL.

Dr Silva subsequently chose to depart the network to cultivate his own bespoke accountancy practice and to fully pursue his lifelong passion within the global upstream and midstream energy sectors.

Spitfire Oil and Gas Limited was established on 20 February 2014 to orchestrate direct introductions between elite refineries and qualified buyers.

Having secured coveted senior mandate positions with numerous international refineries, Dr Silva recently determined the time was right to transition from a mandate representative into a principal buyer and seller of energy commodities.

This strategic evolution led to the formation of Spitfire Oils Limited, a premium corporate entity based within the Labuan International Business and Financial Centre.

Recognising that institutional buyers prefer transaction frameworks free from upfront financial friction, Dr Silva secured a strategic floating storage unit lease within the critical maritime corridors of the Straits of Malacca to facilitate the immediate physical supply and delivery of international standard EN590 ultra-low sulphur diesel.

Today, he operates concurrently as the Chief Executive Officer of both Spitfire entities, holding direct refinery mandates across Kazakhstan, Qatar, Oman, Azerbaijan, and Brazil, whilst dealing exclusively with senior board directors and state energy officials.

A visionary pioneer of international trade corridors, Dr Silva initiated and established the first ever ASEAN Desk within KPMG United Kingdom, a historic milestone that marked the very first dedicated international desk in the history of the global firm.

This strategic gateway provided invaluable counsel to European enterprises investing across Southeast Asia, whilst simultaneously guiding major Asian conglomerates looking to deploy capital into the United Kingdom market.

In recognition of his vast contributions to global commerce and international relations, Dr Silva was bestowed with the prestigious title of Dato, the Malaysian equivalent to a British Knighthood, within his country of birth.

Heavily engaged in the bilateral expatriate community, he also served a 2-year elected term as the President of the Malaysian Golfing Association of the United Kingdom.

During this time, he had the immense honour of playing a private golf match with the late King of Malaysia, His Royal Highness Tuanku Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah ibni Almarhum Sultan Badlishah, whilst His Majesty was on an official state visit to London to meet Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth 2.
